Windows already has it's own built in default hot keys / shortcuts. These hot keys can be disabled in the settings section.
Here are some depending on your type of windows.

| WinKey + D | Show/Hide Desktop |
| WinKey + E | Open an Explorer window |
| WinKey + F | Find: All Files |
| WinKey + F1 | Open Windows Help |
| WinKey + L | Lock your workstation (XP only) |
| WinKey + M | Minimize all open windows |
| WinKey + Pause | Opens the System Properties dialog |
| WinKey + R | Open the Run dialog |
| WinKey + Shift + M | Undo minimize all open windows |
| WinKey + Tab | Cycle through taskbar program buttons |
